I recently wore my new Lumos Matrix helmet and got so many compliments on how cool and practical it was! What a great invention!!!!!!

I purchased the Lumos helmet a couple of years ago and it is my favorite helmet for any activity. The customer support is fantastic as well. I had an issue with the helmet well over a year after the purchase and Lumos customer support was attentive and corrected the problem right away. Lumos is my only helmet from now on.

The Lumos Matrix is simply put the most visible helmet currently on the market for urban cycling. The combination of front and rear illumination, the capacity to signal turning, and the wide variety of illumination patterns make this the perfect helmet for urban cycling. When riding on city streets, visibility is by far the most important feature to help drivers recognize that there is a bicycle on the road. The very bright LEDs and visually captivating display options make this helmet highly visible. The bright headlamp also provides excellent illumination of the road and bike lane when riding at night. Lumos also has amazing customer service. Shout out to Kristine at Lumos! Many thanks! If you were on the fence about buying this helmet: it is worth every penny.

Several years ago I purchased the Kickstart and then a Matrix. I was in the process of purchasing another Matrix when I discovered a defective LED on the Kickstart. Rather than stand by the product Lumos Support said "I" should replace the helmet. Despite the helmet has had minimal use. I canceled an Order and invested in Unit 1 Farro, A very Nice helmet. I am happy with the helmet and support. I received an ad from Lumos with the Matrix at a discount. I noticed some features with the AP that I found intriguing (Syncing of Multiple Helmets for Group Rides). I revisited the AP with my Kickstart and Matrix. I found both helmets updated and synced! This prompted me to purchase another Matrix (Sale Price)!. I am excited to go on a ride with my daughters using the Group function in the AP. I also like the programable Message feature in the LEDs. NOW, if LUMOS SUPPORT would only step up to the plate and repair the Kickstart!!

This helmet is SO great! I am a longtime Lumos loyalist. This is my second one. The first one I had was in the first generation of issue and sadly failed after 2 years… the warranty was out but Lumos very generously extended me a very satisfying bargain on their (then new) Ultra, which I love also. But the matrix is special and also better for cold weather. I grabbed one for a song during their holiday lightning deals blitz 12/23 (thank you Lumos!!). I’d also backed the Lumos firefly lights on kickstarter. While commuting in the dark and sketchy winter night streets of Pittsburgh, I am now Fully Luminous! And with panache. It will scroll between 6 displays (Jan 1 and now mine are: Christmas tree, scrolling text (you can write what you want and adjust colors), moving DNA, beating heart, snow, and PacMan. The helmet alone is fantastic. Turn signals are the best. And when you have a helmet along with bike lights that are also turn signals, and all coordinated via the mounted remote… wow. the safety factor and cool factor are really amplified. I love everything I’ve got from Lumos and I love their spirit of innovation to make cyclists visible and safe with style. BRAVO!!!
